Cyclist Dies After Collision With A Car **UPDATE 1**

UPDATE. 11th September. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding a fatal road crash in Harlow.

The collision happened when a pedal cyclist and a blue Vauxhall Corsa struck each other at the junction of Elizabeth Way and Parndon Mill road at 7pm on Monday, September 3.

The pedal cyclist, 62-year-old Robert Tyler from Bishopsfield in the town, was certified dead at the scene.

The driver of the Corsa, a 31-year-old woman from Harlow, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and later released on police bail until Wednesday, September 19 pending further enquiries.


At 7pm on Monday, September 3, a fatal road collision occurred on Elizabeth Way, Harlow close to its junction with Parndon Mill Road.

A 62 year old man, from Harlow, was riding a pedal cycle when he was in collision with a blue Vauxhall Corsa. The man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The 31 year old woman driver of the Corsa, also from Harlow, was uninjured and subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. She has been released on police bail until September 19 while enquiries continue.
